“Parents Corner”

The game of soccer can be a life changing experience for your child. Just a couple of reminders to make sure your child is getting the most out of this years soccer experience.

Make sure you bring your child to all practices and games on time. The coach’s are working hard to help all the players on the team. Showing up late takes time away from the team. If you are having a challenge getting your child to the fields on time, please talk to your coach. There maybe some parents that can car pool.

It is HOT during our soccer season… Please make sure your child has had a balanced meal before the games and a good snack before practice. WATER, WATER and more WATER!! Make sure your child has enough water for practice and the games.

Parents & family members conduct at Howard Park is very important. As the adults we need to set the tone for our children. Please conduct your self in a way that your child will see you as an example of good sportsmanship. If you are not, you will meet one of MLYSL “Field Marshalls”. We wear nice bright RED shirts so you can see us coming. Please be respectful to the referees, coaches and other parents.

Soccer is a sport that teaches teamwork, respect and sportsmanship. We hope you take this year to help teach your child to love the game and build a foundation for many years of playing the sport.

Enjoy the season!
